![]() ![]() With timeboxing, if you do not manage to release by the deadline, then you’d need to reduce the scope or complexity of the task - too ambitious plans were made, and now is the time to adjust to the reality. How could you think of changing the scope? It was all agreed on beforehand, and even written down in the contract! Even if it takes (a lot) more time than you ever thought possible. That is mostly because when you’re doing client work, then you’re expected to complete all features that were initially planned. It may be a bit counterintuitive for those who are coming from the consultancy background. The basic idea is to fix the deadline in stone and leave scope flexible. ![]() Its roots stem from Lean Software Development movement.
